The Story of Cesar del Mundo
(Written c.2000)
El Rosario 1 Cesar
Every night was Saturday night in El Rosario.
Or so it seemed.
But it was a Saturday morning when Cesar
drove into the village of El Rosario.
There was a main road from the town winding the base of the mountains. From this road broke a minor road, tarred surface just concealing the dirt, leading to factory units. Before reaching the worksite there was a hump in this minor road marking the beginning of the village: El Rosario; continuing its straight length for 300 metres before another hump or “vibrador” ended the extent of the village’s existence. The factory was about a kilometer further down the minor road.
On either side of the road between these two speed reducer markers the village spread out in single-storey stone buildings being the homes and utilities of the inhabitants: the El Rosarians.
