Lord Robert Diamond travels to the island of Jerba to give birth to his own son as                                            his wife is unable to conceive

Extract:

Jean-Pierre sat in his small blue bedroom.

He was alone.

He was quiet.

To the gentle crashing sound of the Mediterranean

waves he emptied his mind.

“Why can’t I be happy?” he asked.

Ed arrived in Jerba at the same time as Jean-Pierre.

This Tunisian island paradise was to accomodate

their friendship.

They were both in the Al-Fezira hotel but not

yet met.
